Ben Black Bear (Sicangu) is a first-language Lakota speaker, and the founder of the Lakota Studies program at Sinté Gleška University. He currently teaches Lakota Studies and Lakota language at St. Francis Mission School in St. Francis, SD, serves as Vice-Chairman of the LLC Board of Directors, and assists LLC with its many publishing and audio projecAnpoa Duta Flying Earth
Anpoa Duta Flying graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Arts in Government, and is an Associate Dean of the Native American Community Academy in Albuquerque, NM. He has served as an outreach and community programs coordinator there, and also teaches Lakota Language and Culture classes. He sings traditional Lakota songs and contemporary powwow songs. François Fouquerel has been on staff at Concordia Language Villages in Minnesota for 24 years, teaching French as a second language in immersive, experiential environments. He is Dean of Concordia’s French Year-Round Programs. François was born in France and grew up in Normandy. He earned his bachelor’s degree in English from Macalester College, St. Paul, Minn.
