Ben Black Bear

  Ben Black Bear is Sičháŋǧu Lakȟóta and a native speaker of his language. He founded the Lakota Studies Department at Siŋté Glešká University. He currently teaches Lakota language at St. Francis Mission School in St. Francis, SD, and serves as Vice-Chairman of the LLC Board of Directors. He has been instrumental to every flagship project at the organization, and has provided voice for a number of multimedia projects, including Matȟó Waúŋšila Thiwáhe, the New Lakota Dictionary Pro, and the Lakota Audio Series.
